The talk addressed the new Cold War between the United States and China. Mr Lim explained, “A new Cold War may potentially take place between both these powerhouses, as tensions have been rising between the two in the recent years. China and the US have negative images of each other, with the latter’s discrimination of the former starting with the former president, Donald Trump.”

Mr Lim also spoke on some excerpts from the book, ‘China’s Arduous Journey to Earn Its Place”. “China has had a long journey in cementing its place as one of the biggest countries in the world, due to the discrimination and humiliation it faced for nearly a century. For instance, the Japanese occupation of China, which saw the deaths of thousands of Chinese people,” explained Mr Lim.

The talk ended with a Q&A and group photo session.
